Kylie is the director of Simply Kids Yoga (SKY) and has been a dedicated kids yoga teacher for many years. She has written the popular, engaging and evolving SKY curriculum and Yoga program for 2 - 3 yos and 3 - 5 yos, and runs the professional development Kids Yoga Teacher Training series for qualified yoga teachers. Kylie runs a mentorship and training program for all SKY teachers before they teach yoga to children.
Kylie Peters is a dynamic, approachable and creative yoga teacher, who resonates intuitively with the needs of her students, from babies to adults.
Kylie has an endless supply of energy and passion for teaching playful, fun, challenging, yet peaceful and relaxing yoga to people of all ages. She delights in watching her students as they progress with yoga, playfully making new discoveries and connections.
Kylie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Sydney, which includes two years of education training (secondary school). She holds an Advanced Diploma of Yoga Teaching through the Nature Care College, and earlier completed a yoga teaching apprenticeship with the esteemed, Eve Grzybowski. Kylie has been certified in the Yoga for the Special Child program, a yoga program for babies, children and teenagers with special needs. Kylie has also completed the Radiant Child Yoga Program Levels I, II and III, Yoga for Children Workshop with the Australian Institute of Yoga, Satyananda Yoga in Education Workshop, Prenatal and Mums & Bubs Yoga Teacher Training Workshop at Samadhi Yoga, and Yoga Therapeutics Teacher Training with Judith Lasater (The Vertebral Column and Asana, and the Practice, Theory and Teaching of Restorative Yoga). She is a professional member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists, and the Yoga Teachers Association of Australia.
Kylie has previously worked in childcare and at Kid's Island, The Australian Museum, as well as with the Good Fairies of the East. She studied acting at The Ensemble Acting Studios and at Bradfield College.
Kylie is also a proud mum to her beautiful little girl, Sky De Giorgio, born in October 2007. Kylie currently teaches our Mums and Bubs Yoga classes, and Baby Sky
is a great baby yoga demonstrator in these classes! |
